Remember Rome was not built in a day, some people find it very easy to use relaxation techniques while others who have very active chatter minds find it more difficult. We will include in the techniques one to help "still the mind," to slow down all that confused chatter that goes on in your head space, so that you can again feel the clarity of your higher self and your life path.

We use relaxation techniques and meditation techniques for specific purposes. Using a relaxation technique can improve your health, your life, your attitudes, and your sense of peace.
Self Check List: Do you need to do some relaxation? Do you sleep well?Do you find yourself getting overwhelmed during the day (getting angry and frustrated)?Do you suffer from High Blood Pressure?Do you suffer from Headaches or Migraines?Do you have bad digestion?Do you suffer from Constipation or Diarrhoea?Are you constantly tired?Do you suffer blurred vision?Do you have bad short term memory?Do you have sore shoulders and neck?Do you feel hurried all the time?Do you find yourself unable to concentrate?Do you have little tollerance for loud noise?Do you crave junk food?Are you overweight or underweight?Do you chew your finger nails?Do you drink more than 3 cups of coffee a day?Do you use alcohol or drugs to relax? Can you sit still or are you always fiddling with somehing or tapping your feet?Do you get angry easily?

If you answer yes to any of these symptoms, you could possibly benefit from relaxation session each day, even 15 minutes will make a difference.
Will using a relaxation technique harm you – the answer is NO definitely not.
If you have been feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands it’s a good idea to use some form of relaxation therapy. Some people relax by doing gardening, by reading, by listening to music, by sitting watching the sea; there are hundreds of ways to relax without using substances to get the results.
I want to point out here right from the beginning, I do not support or condone the use of any substance to alter peoples perspective, alcohol, drugs, mood enhancers are out – ok.
People who have been long term drug users or have had mental instability are recommended to consult their physician before using any of the techniques used on this website.
You may find that over a period of time using these techniques your well being will improve, your blood pressure may stabilize and things like weight, anger and other desired changes will be easier to effect.
So how and when do we use relaxation techniques?
It is best if you use these techniques at least once a day, at a time when you have time to yourself. It is important for your comfort that you are not going to be disturbed by phones ringing and other family members while you relax.
If you are brought out of mediation suddenly it can cause a feeling of restlessness and upset leaving you short tempered for hours after. I will explain this more later. This is a physiological response not an esoteric or spiritual reaction, all that I work with is based upon the bodies physiology combined with spirituality and common sense understanding. more in part 3.
